Miriam Stoppard and Rowan Atkinson are also from Newcastle. Still, today broadcasting regularly on British television are Ant and Dec, the two Geordie presenters who today host ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ a very watched television show on Saturday nights at prime time, they started their career on the television show ‘Grange Hill’ and have moved on to become one of the first choices to present any good TV.

Let’s not forget the famous International footballers Alan Shearer, Peter Beardsley and Paul Gascoigne who are known as household names throughout England.
